ABOUT THE SUMMIT
In its heyday The Great Silk Road was a commercial and logistical reality which had a huge impact on the economies and cultures not only of the countries along its path, but also of the wider world. Today we are witnessing a new round of increasing interest in the region, a fresh proposition for international capital and investment, for modern technologies and intellectual resources. It is not fanciful to expect a sort of renaissance of the Silk Road.

The key goals of the Summit are to allow a deep exchange of experience and viewpoints regarding the Silk Road Region, and within this context to understand the relevance of international corporate governance standards to the culture and specifics of the region's development. We have high expectations for the forthcoming event, which will bring together over 150 top executives, members of the boards of directors and shareholders of leading companies from the region of Central Asia, Russia and nearby countries.

The Summit’s various sessions will explore the expectations of business and Government and will review trends in corporate governance and board practice in the Region.
